Daily Announcements from Reagan Middle School

Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014

Girls ages 12, 13, 14…..are you interested in joining a travel softball team?  Dixon Dynamite 14U Travel Softball team is holding tryouts!  Tryouts will be held at Ballou Park, Sunday, November 2, from 12-2 p.m.

Tutors needed…today after school Mr. Sagel, Madison School principal, will be holding an informational meeting in room 145, by the elevator, for any 7th or 8th grade student interested in becoming an after school tutor for a 4th or 5th grade student.  Students would be asked to be a positive role model in addition to providing academic help from after school from 2:15-2:55.  This meeting should only last about 15-20 minutes.

Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student wishing to wear a costume to school on Halloween may pay $1.00 to their 1st hour teacher. The Builders Club is collecting the money for Trick or Treat for Unicef, so help out a good cause and have fun at the same time. Costumes must be school appropriate with no masks or weapons.

Any 8th grade student who was unable to attend the informational meeting on the DC trip last night should stop by Mrs. Renkes's classroom and pick up an informational packet.

Builders Club will be selling ghost pops for 25 cents during both lunch periods all this week.  All proceeds will go to the United Way.

Reagan Middle School Homework Club -

Reagan Middle School offers an after school program to help students with homework completion. The Program is run by Mrs. Mills and Mrs. Ackerson Monday through Friday from 2:15 to 3:00 in room # 210. The program does not run on half-days or school holidays. Transportation needs to be provided by the parents on days that your student attends Homework Club as busses do not run at 3:00. Homework Club is self-directed with staff available to give one on one help to students who get “stuck” while completing their work. The staff can also assist the students in getting their work organized. Staff will help students communicate with teachers in order to find out what work they have due and what missing work they may still need to turn in. Please contact Mr. Bullock, Mr. Magnafici or your school counselor to get your student enrolled in Homework Club.

PARENTS:  Let's fill up the yearbook with your great pictures of extracurricular and academic events!  Simply download the free Jostens app for your smart devices called ReplayIt.  Be sure to register under Reagan Middle School, Dixon, IL.  Last year our book was filled with all your pictures!
